Job Description

Position Summary

IDB Bank is looking for a Data Analyst with an inclination for problem-solving and attention to detail. The successful candidate will help turn raw data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. The candidate will work with large data sets, produce dashboards, write reports and maintain documentation.

 

What you will do

  • Become a business application owner and data steward for the credit risk rating applications managed by the bank, including Moody’s® CreditLens and an internally developed web-based risk rating application (PDLGD tool)
  • Institute data controls, run data profiling, initiate data cleansing activities, and create data exception reports around the credit risk rating applications ensuring the systems run smoothly, are reconciled against the bank’s loan booking systems and that data exceptions are addressed in due time with the relevant stakeholders (front office, middle office, risk and technology partners)
  • Identify opportunities for systems’ improvements, enhancements and optimizations within the data steward role; manage and test systems’ configurations used for business cases and processes
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement system upgrades and new features. Conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure systems’ stability and continuity.
  • Generate and provide bank-wide analytics using data from the credit risk rating systems to be used in model validations, model monitoring reports and credit stress testing
  • Contribute to monthly and quarterly risk presentation on topics related to the credit risk portfolio evolution, risk rating migration, Watchlist reporting, Criticized & Classified management.
  • Assist in developing data strategies to optimize data usage and quality within the team
  • Extract, filter, clean and store raw data from primary or secondary data sources
  • Create business intelligence dashboards
  • Write and maintain technical documentation

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of direct experience in data analysis, business analysis and handling data sets
  • Technical skills: Python (coding and libraries), SQL, Power BI, Excel (Advanced), Database concepts
  • Proven experience in managing and supporting financial systems. Familiarity with CreditLens or similar applications that house risk rating systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders across the bank, including business and technical teams, to challenge the status-quo and enhance the risk reporting function
  • Excel at details with a passion for data aggregation and reporting
  • Relationship builder, inquisitive, avid learner with analytical mindset, always looking to make things better
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral

 

Compensation

The expected annual salary for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000 at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
