Role Description

The NGSE Business Analyst is a member of Zoetis’ International Commercial Center of Excellence (COE), Digital Platforms team. The role will report to the International Commercial Head of NGSE and work closely with other pillars within the COE as well as Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD’) partners and our colleagues in international markets. The role should be based in a Zoetis international market.

As a core contributor within Zoetis' dynamic International Commercial COE Digital Platforms team, the NGSE Business Analyst is pivotal in deploying our business critical NGSE tool across international markets, with a focus on user requirements gathering, project management, UAT co-ordination and International market stakeholder engagement.

In this role, we need a self-motivated individual with good communication and project management skills to support our NGSE solution. This candidate should have strong project management (Agile process, Jira), Change Management experience and interpersonal skills and enjoys working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment across the globe.

Role Responsibilities

% of time approx:20%

  • Facilitate & coordinate NGSE projects
  • Lead comprehensive fit/gap analysis for new market deployments by orchestrating detailed sessions with leadership and sales teams.
  • Analyze findings to validate gaps, collaborate with technical experts to craft and document targeted solutions that align with NGSE objectives.
  • Solid understanding of project management methodology including the ability to troubleshoot project roadblocks and proactively seek solutions to meet deadlines         20%

% of time approx:35%

  • Work across COE, ZTD, CX & market teams to identify additional benefits & synergies including support of excellent customer experience / customer 360
  • Facilitate cross-market alignment on enhancement priorities by evaluating use cases that optimize NGSE functionality and enhance user experience, ensuring each enhancement is globally applicable and adds value.
  • Support the assessment of enhancement requests to ensure that they have global applicable use cases for the NGSE tool that drive a better user or customer experience and delivers customer insights to sales representatives.
  • Document user stories related to enhancements that define the functional flow, business logic, data mapping and visual representations that provide sufficient information to hand off to the product development team.
  • Present enhancement requests at weekly functional grooming calls with the technical team, representing and supporting International market requirements, to succinctly articulate requirements, explain functional requirements and key expected outcomes that will deliver value to all International NGSE markets.
  • Work with UI/UX designer to design and drive refinement based on feedback from market engagement.
  • Together with L&D and other COE teams, structure, prepare and continually

update reference materials.

  • Identify & deliver on Change Management on business processes & procedures supported by the NGSE system and integrations with other systems.

% of time approx:10%

  • Collaborate with data analysts and data scientists to define actionable AI and ML use cases that yield meaningful customer insights, supporting the evolution of data models through rigorous validation and testing.
  • Support data model development and validation through ‘paper testing’

% of time approx:20%

  • Coordinate and support market UAT testing
  • Define use case scenarios for functional enhancements / user story testing and define detailed test scripts to support UAT execution.
  • Define test data required to support UAT use case execution.
  • Oversee end-to-end UAT planning, from defining use cases to coordinating detailed test script execution across markets. Ensure effective management of the defect lifecycle to uphold NGSE quality standards, with regular reporting on UAT progress and outcomes.
  • Manage UAT defect lifecycle including issues identification and assessment, analysis of the root cause analysis in conjunction with the product development team, support re-testing and issue closure.

% of time approx:15%

  • Support the preparation for and presentation at monthly community meetings.
  • Work with core ZTD teams to develop more robust KPIs on system performance, key utilization and adoption metrics.
  • Drive ongoing platform refinement by actively engaging with stakeholders, fostering robust KPI development with ZTD teams, and championing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance user engagement and system performance.
  • Support Director on NGSE tool.

  • International COE, ZTD, International Market business leaders, Commercial Operations Leads & NGSE Market Leads / Data Managers.
  • Solution and development partners

Resources Managed

Individual contributor with no direct reports. Leads cross-functional teams including in-market colleagues (Commercial Operations Leads, NGSE Market Leads, Data Managers, Marketing, etc.) as well as other COE & ZTD colleagues. 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in business analytics ideally with experience in animal health and/or human health industries
  • Extensive experience working with commercial / business and IT teams with the ability to explain technical terms in business language and ability to translate business requirements into functional / technical terms.
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and analyse tasks effectively and succinctly report on progress and articulate issues and challenges
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Excel including use of multiple features/formulas such as vlookups and pivot tables; experience using Excel for large data sets.  Competency using other Microsoft Office suite programs such as Word and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to conceptualise complex issues, processes, procedures or solutions.
  • Experience of working across various cultures and geographies.
  • Project Management experience preferred – Agile methodology.
  • Experience in Change Management
  • Experience in design/product mgmt. (preferred)
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently, in a team setting and across a matrix organisation
  • Ability to quickly build and maintain relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree (or masters / MBA) a plus
  • Fluency in English essential- written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in other languages to conduct market engagement interviews (depending on market) nice to have

Technical Skills Management

  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Knowledge of Jira, Salesforce & Azure an advantage

Physical Position Requirements

  • Position based in International Market
  • Travel requirement: approx. <15%
