InnoTech Summer Undergraduate Internship 2025 – Enterprise Delivery – APMO Automation & Analytics

Position Summary

This program is an 11-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

The summer internship program is from May 28 – August 8, 2025. 

CVS Health follows a 3 day in office (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice. 

 

Our office location for this role is Hartford, CT. A housing stipend may be provided, based on eligibility, and interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired. The hourly rate is $23.00 per hour, with 40 hours per week, July 4th off (company holiday), and two days of paid leave.

About the Business Area

The APMO Automation & Analytics team develops and supports solutions to achieve the objectives of DDAT and CVS Health. This includes automating business processes, providing AI solutions, and creating dashboards for informed decision-making.

 

What you will do  

As an Intern Engineer, you will:

• Develop and support ETL processes

• Explore AI opportunities

• Build automated solutions

• Create analytic dashboards for the Agile Project Management Office (APMO)

• Work in an agile development team, leveraging DevOps methods

 

This collaborative environment will allow you to explore new technologies and techniques under the guidance of experienced engineers and architects.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory (ADF)

• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and understand data needs

• Create and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and process documentation

• Develop and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards to visualize insights

• Utilize Power Apps and Power Automate to create custom applications and automate workflows

• Leverage AI tools such as Chat GPT and similar internal tools for development solutions

• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure data quality and performance

• Stay updated on best practices in data engineering, Azure services, and the Power Platform

 

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.

 

Required Qualifications  

• Meet Education Requirements (see Education section) 

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages: Python, Java, CSS, HTML, DAX, M, or SQL

• Experience with at least one of the following: Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL Server, Power BI, Power Apps, or Power Automate

• Ability to write SQL queries

• Experience with data modeling and data visualization tools

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

 

 Preferred Qualifications  

• Demonstrated leadership experience. Examples include active roles in student or social organization activities, sports, or school or work-related projects 

• Experience leading a school or work-related project

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Internship or work experience in related field  

• Have an interest in obtaining a full-time position within CVS Health

• Microsoft certifications in Azure and Power Platform.

• Proficiency with GitHub.

 Education  

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026 

• Preferred majors include Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
