Generative AI Internship

As a ClubLabs Intern, you will be a member of our digital acceleration team for Automobile Club of Southern California, also known as AAA— we are the proving ground for ideas that exceed our members' expectations. Here you will partner with our SME’s and help us create, design and deliver digital solutions.

This internship will give you hands-on experience in your chosen area of specialty, whether it’s Engineering, UX/UI, Product Management, Podcast Creation or QA - we have the roles that will give you the valuable industry experience you are looking for.

This flexible 14-week program runs 20 hours per week from March through August. The position is based out of our Administrative Offices in Costa Mesa, CA

What You'll Do

• Assist in developing and implementing generative AI applications and proof-of-concepts

• Work with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

• Participate in the design and development of user interfaces for LLM-powered applications

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions

• Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest trends in generative AI

• Experiment with different LLM deployments (e.g., Claude, Nova, ...)

• Contribute to platform reference material development

What You'll Need

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field

• Strong programming skills, particularly in Javascript/Typescript

• Experience with generative AI tools and services, including LLMs and prompt engineering

• Familiarity with machine learning techniques, algorithms, and frameworks

• Experience with UI/UX design and development for web applications

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

• Preferred experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), version control (Git), and agile methodologies.
