Dark Wolf Solutions is looking for a Data Scientist to join our team. The team provides permanently assigned data science professionals to the USSOCOM Headquarters, Theater Special Operations Commands, and Component Commands. Additionally, the DTS contract may provide temporary support (Temporary Duty / deployment) to worldwide Special Operations Joint Task Forces, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Forces, Special Operations Task Forces, and Special Operations Command Forward Elements. Key responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Interpret and analyze data using exploratory mathematic and statistical techniques based on the scientific method
  • Coordinate research and analytic activities utilizing various data points (unstructured and structured) and employ programming to clean, massage, and organize the data
  • Experiment against data points, provide information based on experiment results and provide previously undiscovered solutions
  • Lead all data experiments
  • Build data environments

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess a minimum of a bachelor degree in a computer science discipline, or equivalent or 8 years experience providing services similar in required tasks, scope, and complexity
  • Six years; experience in the Special Operations intelligence community, providing services similar in required tasks, scope, and complexity
  • Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real world data problems
  • Proficient with one or more programming languages (Java, C++, Python, R, etc.)
  • US Citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret security clearance or higher

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a data scientist or relevant experience
  • Experience with developing data models and algorithms to apply to data sets
  • Experience with databases and statistical computer languages with statistical computer languages such as Python, SQL, R, etc. or willingness to learn
  • Understanding of Agile project management approach
This position is 5 days a week on site in Tampa, FL. 

The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $80,000.00 - $155,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
