- Administer medications
- Assist providers during patient examinations
- Collect and label lab specimens
- Conduct focused patient assessments
- Coordinate patient care and follow up
- Document patient assessments in medical record
- Ensure patient confidentiality
- Give injections
- If certified start IV therapy
- Maintain safe clinic environment
- Manage infection control precautions
- Manage medication refills per protocol
- Obtain chief complaint by telephone
- Perform EKGs
- Perform phlebotomy
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments
- Provide nursing care
- Review patient charts and lab results
