- Assesses business needs and recommends analytical and modeling projects
- Builds and maintains reusable production quality algorithms and code
- Communicates findings to non technical business partners with recommendations
- Coordinates with Data Engineering and IT to deploy production ready analytical assets
- Develops and deploys models using Model Development Control and Model Risk Management
- Develops scalable automated machine learning simulation and optimization solutions
- Ensures model risks are identified measured monitored and controlled
- Escalates issues that could limit project success
- Gathers interprets and manipulates structured and unstructured data
- Maintains expertise in cutting edge techniques
- Manages project milestones risks and impediments
- Mentors junior data scientists
- Prioritizes analytics and modeling problems with business partners
- Selects modeling techniques based on data limitations and business needs
- Translates business requests into analytical questions and delivers results
- Writes technical documentation for model risk and technical review
