Tasks
- Apply AI native approaches to data quality anomaly detection and pipeline optimization
- Define and drive data engineering technical roadmap
- Design data lake architecture
- Drive self serve data experience for analysts and data scientists
- Implement pipeline orchestration
- Lead analytics engineering strategy
- Lead and develop engineering managers and teams
- Manage build vs buy decisions and vendor relationships
- Manage data engineering budget and cloud cost management
- Manage dbt project structure and data modeling standards
- Manage intake and prioritization across operating groups
- Optimize compute and reliability observability
- Oversee Databricks data platform infrastructure
- Own end to end data flow from source to consumption by humans and LLMs
- Own workforce planning headcount allocation and hiring strategy
- Partner with analytics and data science to ensure data models serve downstream users
- Represent data engineering in leadership planning and roadmap reviews
- Serve as primary point of contact for data engineering across stakeholders
- Set data quality governance and documentation standards
- Support ML and AI workloads alongside analytics
- Translate business needs into engineering priorities
- Translate engineering constraints into business language
