Director of Engineering, Managed Database Service
Tasks
- Build control planes and automation
- Build deployment and monitoring systems
- Define and execute SLIs and SLOs
- Design and run production cloud service at scale
- Drive backup and restore reliability improvements
- Drive failover and high availability engineering
- Hire develop and retain engineering talent
- Improve query performance and scaling workflows
- Lead development and operations of managed database service
- Lead relational database product engineering decisions
- Make reliability and architecture tradeoff decisions
- Manage incident response practices
- Own database engineering charter end to end
- Partner with SRE Infrastructure Support Security GTM teams
