Database Operations Lead HU
Tasks
- Collaborate with application infrastructure and cloud teams for data availability
- Conduct database backup recovery and disaster recovery
- Configure secure database connectivity and drivers
- Coordinate vendor escalations and third party support
- Drive database upgrades and patching
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance
- Execute database performance tuning
- Implement database high availability and replication
- Lead database migration and consolidation
- Lead enterprise database management
- Lead incident response and database troubleshooting
- Maintain database documentation and procedures
- Manage database platform lifecycle
- Manage indexing strategy and query analysis
- Mentor L2 database analysts and manage on call rota
- Monitor wait events and resource bottlenecks
- Oversee database encryption TLS and TDE
- Participate in governance and reporting
- Perform capacity utilization and health reviews
- Perform database deployment and configuration
- Plan and execute DR tests and reporting
- Propose database optimization initiatives
- Remediate database vulnerabilities
- Securely decommission end of life database hardware and data sanitization
- Support audit compliance and license reviews
- Validate disaster recovery plans
