- Apply postage using tabs and labels
- Classify letters by postal code
- Comply with policies procedures and laws
- Conduct inventory checks
- Ensure correct information is printed
- Extract cards and verify tray contents
- Operate card inserting machine
- Prepare mail information cards
- Process mail inserts fold and merge letters and envelopes
- Read and interpret documents
- Report operational errors to group leader
- Support sorting machine technicians in case of malfunctions
- Verify address formatting
- Verify processed mail quality
- Weigh correspondence and estimate postage
