Tasks
- Conduct thermal analysis and ensure reliability impact
- Develop mechanical architecture and detailed design
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools
- Ensure control performance through predictable dynamics
- Ensure regulatory and quality compliance
- Execute design for manufacturability and assembly
- Execute design for reliability
- Integrate mechanical, electrical, software components
- Lead and mentor mechanical engineers
- Lead mechanical engineering function for robotic systems
- Maintain mechanical design documentation for regulatory submissions
- Manage team resources and schedules
- Oversee tolerance stack up analysis
- Own mechanical subsystem requirements
- Participate in risk management including DFMEA
- Perform trade studies and design reviews
- Plan and execute mechanical deliverables
- Review test results and drive corrective actions
- Support system bring up troubleshooting and performance tuning
- Support verification and validation
- Use FEA and simulation tools for design decisions
