- Implement verify and validate mechanical risk controls
- Lead mechanical architecture and detailed design
- Lead mentor and develop mechanical engineering team
- Lead system bring up integration troubleshooting and tuning
- Maintain mechanical design documentation for reviews and audits
- Optimize sourcing assembly processes tolerances and inspection
- Own mechanical subsystem requirements
- Perform thermal analysis and thermal deformation evaluation
- Perform trade studies and architecture decisions
- Plan and execute mechanical deliverables
- Stay current with robotics actuation and materials advancements
- Support design controls audits and regulatory submissions
- Support mechanical electrical software integration
- Use FEA and simulation tools for design decisions
