Principal / Sr. Principal Production Engineer - Robotics & Automation
Tasks
- Collaborate with suppliers to manage delivery of quality components
- Communicate manufacturing plans through manufacturing readiness reviews
- Communicate project status and issues
- Coordinate builds of electro mechanical assemblies
- Coordinate design for manufacturability and automation
- Coordinate manufacturing efforts across engineering supply chain quality manufacturing and test
- Coordinate prove out plans and preventative maintenance
- Deliver end to end manufacturing engineering support
- Design deploy and maintain automation cells
- Develop manufacturing processes and documentation
- Develop production solutions including fixtures and test stations
- Implement continuous improvement projects
- Implement corrective actions
- Implement robotics vision inspection and testing for quality
- Interface with design engineering for assembly optimized products
- Lead failure investigations and root cause analysis
- Manage manufacturing engineering principles including SPC and mistake proofing
- Manage spare parts
- Perform PFMEAs
- Perform first article inspections
- Perform gage R and R and equipment and gage qualifications
- Train on PLC robotics and safety
- Troubleshoot repair and upgrade automation cells
