- Build behavioral systems with state machines behavior trees task planners
- Build simulation environments for development and testing
- Design and execute field tests with data collection
- Design sensor data pipelines
- Develop motion planning control and trajectory generation
- Develop robotics software in C++ and Python
- Evaluate robotics technologies frameworks and recommend adoption
- Implement perception localization mapping SLAM and sensor fusion
- Implement safety critical patterns fault detection and safe stops
- Integrate ROS or ROS 2 with custom hardware
- Maintain technical documentation runbooks and architecture diagrams
- Mentor junior engineers through code review and design review
