Robotics Software Engineer
Tasks
- Build behavioral systems with state machines behavior trees or task planners
- Build simulation environments for development and testing
- Conduct field tests and perform data collection and post test analysis
- Develop motion planning control and trajectory generation
- Develop robotics software in C plus plus and Python
- Evaluate robotics technologies and make adoption recommendations
- Implement perception localization and mapping using SLAM and sensor fusion
- Implement safety critical patterns with watchdogs fault detection and safe stops
- Integrate ROS and ROS 2 with custom hardware and embedded systems
- Integrate sensor data pipelines for cameras LiDAR IMU and proprioceptive sensors
- Maintain technical documentation including architecture diagrams and runbooks
- Mentor engineers through code review design review and pair programming
