Robotics Software Engineer
Tasks
- Build behavioral systems using state machines behavior trees or task planners
- Build simulation environments for development and testing
- Collaborate with mechanical electrical and ML engineers
- Design and execute field tests and analyze data
- Design and integrate sensor data pipelines
- Develop motion planning control and trajectory generation
- Develop robotics software in C plus plus and Python
- Evaluate and recommend emerging robotics technologies
- Implement perception localization and mapping algorithms
- Implement safety critical patterns watchdogs fault detection safe stops
- Integrate ROS or ROS 2 with custom hardware and embedded systems
- Maintain technical documentation architecture diagrams runbooks and procedures
- Mentor junior and mid level engineers through reviews and knowledge sharing
