Robotics Software Engineer
Tasks
- Build behavioral systems using state machines or behavior trees
- Build simulation environments for development and testing
- Develop motion planning control and trajectory generation
- Develop robotics software in C++ and Python
- Evaluate emerging robotics technologies and frameworks
- Execute field tests and data analysis
- Implement perception localization mapping SLAM and sensor fusion
- Implement safety critical patterns watchdog fault detection safe stops
- Integrate ROS and ROS 2 with custom hardware
- Integrate sensor data pipelines
- Maintain technical documentation architecture diagrams runbooks
- Mentor junior and mid level engineers through code review
