- Define data access classification ownership and lifecycle requirements
- Define data platform governance standards
- Drive governance workflow improvements and automation
- Embed governance into solution design
- Ensure governance for business datasets
- Ensure technical implementations align with governance standards
- Explain technical data flows and governance decisions
- Investigate governance gaps and deliver remediation
- Lead technical privacy reviews
- Maintain governance documentation lineage and classifications
- Maintain records of processing activities and data protection impact assessments
- Monitor implementation quality
- Operate governance monitoring processes
- Own end to end data mapping
- Partner with product teams early
- Review consent implementations
- Review data collection cookies pixels SDKs APIs and backend implementations
- Support legal during regulatory reviews investigations and audits
- Support vendor assessments
- Translate legal and governance requirements into technical controls
- Validate tracking behavior and consent enforcement
