Senior Data Platform Engineer I - Database Platform - Python
Tasks
- Collaborate with product teams SREs and DBAs on platform guardrails
- Define automation strategy for migrations upgrades and failure recovery
- Design build and evolve internal cloud database platform
- Drive PoC pilot production rollout for YugabyteDB components
- Embed security and compliance controls including encryption auth RBAC network controls
- Ensure availability reliability and security of owned systems
- Implement automation for provisioning, upgrades, backups, and routine operations
- Lead incident resolution and post-incident reviews
- Mentor and coach engineers reduce single points of failure
- Own technical roadmap for YugabyteDB platform components
- Participate in on call rotations and provide senior escalation support
- Support interviewing and maintain engineering hiring bar
