Senior Engineer - Platform & Data Infrastructure
Tasks
- Collaborate with firmware and service teams to convert telemetry into tooling
- Configure Kafka partitioning and consumer groups for scale and reliability
- Design secure low latency GraphQL and REST APIs
- Evolve GraphQL contract for web and mobile
- Execute safe change with staged cutover shadow validation and rollback
- Implement batched writes backpressure and hot path isolation
- Improve pipeline stability and scalability
- Maintain BFF layer and clean schemas
- Maintain data throughput correctness latency and cost
- Optimize infrastructure and observability cost per device
- Own data pipeline flow from AWS IoT Core and Kafka to TimescaleDB
- Reduce latency and remove throughput bottlenecks
- Review frontend and mobile work and trace issues across stack
- Use Grafana for query monitoring and alerting
