Senior Mainframe Storage and Backup Administrator
Tasks
- Administer CA storage products
- Administer virtual tape systems
- Analyze performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks
- Automate operational tasks using REXX and JCL
- Conduct failover and failback simulations
- Configure GDPS replication environments
- Design backup and recovery strategies
- Implement data protection features
- Maintain technical documentation and SOPs
- Manage backup schedules and retention
- Manage mainframe storage arrays
- Mentor junior team members and lead knowledge transfer
- Perform recovery validations and DR drills
- Plan capacity for disk tape and replication
- Provide 24 7 on call production support
- Provision and tune storage for zOS
- Support business continuity migrations
