Tasks
- Architect deploy and operate Apache Kafka clusters
- Build CI CD pipelines using GitOps
- Build Kafka Connect pipelines sources and sinks
- Design HA DR strategies with MirrorMaker 2 and cluster linking
- Design partition replication and topic strategies
- Evaluate emerging streaming technologies
- Implement Kafka security with SASL mTLS and ACLs
- Implement observability with Prometheus Grafana Datadog and Confluent Control Center
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews
- Maintain technical documentation runbooks and operational procedures
- Mentor junior engineers through code and design review
- Onboard application teams to Kafka
- Operate Schema Registry Kafka Connect and ksqlDB
- Optimize Kafka cost and capacity
