Tasks
- Architect embedded software for fire detection system
- Comply with and recommend changes to development guidelines and standards
- Define guidelines for clean well structured code with abstraction and reusability
- Design code and test embedded software
- Develop methods metrics techniques and evaluation criteria for algorithms
- Develop understanding through research and external interaction
- Estimate design analysis coding and unit testing
- Identify analyze and resolve complex software issues
- Identify and record software activity metrics
- Liaise with product support technical authors and SQA
- Maintain released products
- Participate in compliance approvals and factory testing support
- Participate in project planning effort estimation analysis coding and unit testing
- Plan and manage software contributions
- Prepare documentation for ISO QMS and participate in quality management system reviews
- Provide third level support to field engineers
- Recommend changes to software development guidelines and standards
- Review and provide feedback on product functional specifications
