Estech Systems, Inc. | Plano, TX
AI/ML Engineer | August 2023 to Present
* Led effort to build an LLM-based technical support chatbot for ESI's SIP trunk, cloud SIP management, and business phone products.
* Used Python, OpenAI GPT-4, Amazon OpenSearch, and Postgres to implement a Retrieval Augmented Generation system enabling operators to add ESI-specific information to GPT-4's knowledge cheaply and effectively.
* Implemented an innovative self-critique system allowing the AI to detect errors, redundancies, and omissions in its data and request help and clarification from human overseers.
* Built a second AI agent that manages the technical support agent, integrated in to a dashboard webapp that could display graphs of analytics data, extract information from documents and add them to the system, and read and write from all parts of the system through natural language.

Software Engineer | April 2022 to July 2023
* Contributor on 5-dev Robotic Process Automation team for PAA Anna, a tool that connects elder care and post-acute medical facilities with hospitals and insurance providers.
* Used Python, Kubernetes, and Selenium to access medical records when APIs were insufficient.
* Implemented optimization that cut time taken to download records across thousands of facilities, some completing up to 1000x faster.
* Researched, and organized a team of 3 developers to implement and deploy, a state-of-the-art machine learning based system to pass captchas.

Altair Engineering | Troy, MI
Software Engineer | October 2018 to May 2021
* Part of team developing Inspire Motion Multi-Body Dynamics plugin for Altair Inspire, a simulation-focused CAD tool.
* Advised technical leadership on plugin loading architecture, massively speeding up program startup time for major client.
* Communicated with recently acquired fluid dynamics product team and to diagnose and resolve bugs with their product's data input format despite no access to the product or its source code.

Independent Projects

INJECTION | 2014
* Originally developed over 1 week for a game jam in 2014, expanded in to larger project.
* Used Cython and Numpy to implement performance critical features; RSA public-key signatures, Amazon EC2 and Google Cloud Services to implement automatic update infrastructure
