Senior Software Engineer working in perception and machine learning systems for autonomy in challenging environments

I am a highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative senior software engineer with 8 years of experience in a fast-paced and agile R&D start-up environment. 

Experienced in delivering novel solutions to complex autonomy challenges combining advanced AI/ML techniques and sensors, both collaboratively and independently, under tight deadlines.

Working within a deeply integrated cross-functional team, I have extensive experience in leading customer integration and contract delivery activities acting as both technical authority and company representative at an international level.

I have worked for a Japanese company in the UK for a number of years have enjoyed the Japanese cultural drive and high performance collaborative team approach to my Research and team achievements. I am highly motivated to extend this experience in moving to a Japanese organisation demonstrating these qualities and to further develop my technical competencies toward creation and delivery of next generation autonomous solutions for a variety of mass market applications. 

I have taught myself Japanese at a conversational level and have spent some vacation time travelling widely though Japan. I have come to respect and appreciate the culture, people and dynamic drive of Japanese work ethic and wider society.

I am motivated to live and work in Japan.
