Eric Aaltonen brings over 25 years of expertise in data science, engineering, and AI/ML, with a proven track record of driving innovative solutions across industries. As Founder and CEO of SigData.ai (April 2024–Present), he built an AI-driven content system for automating instructional videos and designed real-time financial modeling and trading tools for a venture-backed broker-dealer. Previously, as VP of Data Engineering at Blueprint Prep (2020–2024), he led a team of seven to craft ML prediction algorithms for LSAT/MCAT performance, architected data lakes with ETL pipelines and pioneered a RAG-based content tool leveraging knowledge graphs. At UVNV (2015–2020), he spearheaded a microservices shift to AWS (AuroraDB, Kafka, Redshift), managing user migrations and operational data warehouses.   Earlier roles at Experian Interactive, Demand Media, and Pocket Kings showcase his chops in social media monitoring, fraud detection algorithms, and massive data warehouse systems—handling 7TB+ datasets and $8M monthly affiliate payouts. Eric’s technical toolkit spans Python, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Snowflake, and Tableau, with hands-on mastery of AWS (certified Big Data Specialty, 2018–2020), Jupyter, and Git. A strategic leader, he’s managed teams, set data governance standards, and delivered real-time analytics via DataDog and Splunk.
