FinOps Engineer
Tasks
- Analyze cloud cost and usage data
- Analyze large datasets for system behavior and cost relationships
- Build analytics datasets and data models for infrastructure and cost analysis
- Build automated workflows for anomaly and trend detection
- Design and maintain data pipelines and transformations
- Develop analytical frameworks connecting infrastructure usage and business activity
- Develop cloud cost allocation and unit economics frameworks
- Ensure data accuracy consistency and governance
- Identify cost drivers trends and optimization opportunities
- Investigate cloud cost anomalies and infrastructure changes
- Monitor operational performance metrics
- Perform infrastructure utilization analysis and capacity planning
- Support FinOps initiatives and improve cloud spend visibility
- Translate data into insights and recommendations
- Use AI assisted tools for data exploration and investigation
