Senior Disaster Recovery Engineer
Tasks
- Align IT disaster recovery with business continuity plans
- Automate recovery procedures with scripting
- Coordinate post incident and post test reviews
- Design disaster recovery strategies
- Document recovery plans and runbooks
- Evaluate disaster recovery tooling and practices
- Execute full failover tests
- Execute partial failover tests
- Lead technical recovery during incidents
- Maintain DR documentation for audits
- Maintain RTO and RPO targets
- Manage relationships with DR vendors
- Monitor DR readiness and recovery posture
- Perform component restores
- Produce management reporting
- Provide audit evidence for regulatory reviews
- Run DR tabletop exercises
- Track remediation actions to closure
- Validate recovery procedures through automation
