What You Can Expect

As a Quantitative Analyst II, you will develop tools and frameworks that drive risk management decisions, optimizing Profit & Loss (P&L) while managing risk. Collaborating with commercial and risk teams, you’ll build predictive models, automate workflows, and integrate machine learning solutions (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XG Boost) to assess risk, analyze portfolio performance, and enhance decision-making.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in gross margin assessments, structured transaction analysis, and advanced forecasting (time series, neural networks), while contributing to scalable, reusable solutions. This role is ideal for a data scientist with strong problem-solving skills, analytical acumen, and a passion for building impactful, real-world solutions in a fast-paced environment. This roles sites in Houston, TX reporting to the Supply Manager.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • You have a Bachelor's degree with coursework in an analytical and quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in a general business environment, where you have developed a strong foundation in business
  • You are knowledgeable in handling and analyzing data using tools like Python, SQL, Spark, R, or Excel
  • You have proficiency in working within a technical development environment and can navigate complex systems effectively
  • You are highly organized, with strong project management skills, ensuring deadlines are met, competing priorities are balanced, and international teams are coordinated efficiently
  • You have a collaborative mindset and thrive in team settings, valuing feedback, engaging in constructive debate, and contributing to discussions that challenge ideas
  • You are an effective communicator, confidently defending your analyses with clarity. Curious and adaptable, you are a resourceful problem-solver eager to explore new tools and methods

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of with a minimum of three (3) days in the office
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $64,470 – $107,415 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
