Location: Los Angeles/ Remote/West Coast Preferred

Contract Terms: Permanent, 40 hours per week

THE TEAM

The Insights and Analytics Team at Ticketmaster is a highly skilled and collaborative team that identifies opportunities for improvements with our business and drives overall revenue by innovating new ways to look at data and providing analysis and insights. Members of the team partner with business teams across multiple functions including Sales, Marketing, Strategy, and Operations providing analyses covering ticket sales, cross-channel subscription and shopping behavior, site analytics, incremental revenue streams, and venue/client analysis.

THE JOB

We are looking for an analyst with excellent analysis skills, a keen eye for detail and an inquisitive attitude. They will understand the importance of accurate data and will invest time and effort to ensure these data are accurate. Excellent communication skills are essential; along with the ability to explain complex reports and analysis to non-specialists at all levels of the organisation. This collaborative role will query/pull data from multiple data sources, QA data, research and implement innovative ways to look at data, perform a wide range of formal and ad hoc analyses.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Build dashboards and create high-quality reports to be consumed across the business up to and including executive leadership

  • Work hands-on daily in cloud-based database systems such as Databricks & Snowflake 

  • Design, develop and maintain end-to-end analytics solutions (data integration, pipelines creation, data validation, data quality, data analysis, visualization, and automated reports

  • Build data pipelines to ingest and expose data in raw, staged, stored and analytics ready format

  • Write and execute queries with universal approach to create robust pipelines and visualizations incorporating front-end and back-end coding for optimized results

  • Conduct complex end-to-end data analysis by aggregating multiple data feeds

  • Monitor and manage key databases to identify and fix any data integrity issues discovered

  • Develop and update technical documentation

  • Work closely with various business areas to better understand their requirements, processes and data definition, and translate those to business rules applied on data

  • Work with teams across Ticketmaster to identify data analysis and reporting requirements to enable data-driven business decisions

  • Design and implement new KPI metrics to better record on-going performance and progress towards the company’s Strategic Plan

  • Create thematic visualization packs to effectively communicate the results of the data analysis to introduce changes aimed at creating more efficient and effective processes

  • Build relationships and work with offices across multiple countries, currencies, and locations

  • Track and analyze data through exploratory data analyses to solve business questions and identify areas for optimization and automation

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW  

  • Experience of working with Insight/ Data, Development, and/ or Business teams

  • Experience in at least one BI Solution (Domo, Tableau, Looker, Cognos)

  • Proven experience at and advanced level in Excel, Domo, SQL, Python. These are used daily to fulfil core requirements of this role

  • Data integration, pipeline creation, data validation, data quality, data analysis, visualization, automated reporting

  • An awareness of process improvement frameworks (eg Six Sigma)

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in quantitative field, such as Applied Math, Statistics, Engineering, or Computer Science

The expected compensation for this position is:

$60,000.00 USD - $75,000.00 USD

** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
