Summary

The Water Data Governance & Analytics team is an Analytics Competency Center within Water Information Technology Services (WITS), designed to provide state-of-the-art data analytics and reporting, including tools and data architecture, to improve the value of information and provide insights for operational efficiencies and customer service across the Water Stewardship organization. This role involves working on a cross-functional Data Governance and Analytics team assisting in the development of analytics products throughout the data lifecycle. You will gain valuable experience working on an Agile Scrum team, solving problems alongside our Data Engineers and Data Scientists, using leading-edge analytics tools, and collaborating with IT professionals throughout SRP and its Water organization.

What You'll Do

•    Perform data analysis
•    Develop or enhance analytics dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
•    Participate in Sprint ceremonies
•    Attend working project sessions with the analytics team and our business partners in the Water organization.
•    Participate in various aspects of data product development as needed, including Data Governance, Data Science, and Data Engineering, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute.

What It Takes To Succeed

•    Currently enrolled in a college degree program in Data Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
•    Skilled in SQL
•    Experienced in creating dashboards in Power BI
•    Skilled in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and ability to manage and track multiple tasks simultaneously. 
•    Effective at prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
•    Ability to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
•    A proactive approach to problem-solving and working independently as well as collaboratively with a team.

Education

College level coursework (100+) from an accredited institution will be evaluated on an individual basis according to the skill/level to determine if applicable to the position by management.

 

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona. We are taking steps to protect the health and well-being of all team members, and by following a number of health and safety protocols, to reduce the risk of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
