Tasks
- Assess patients and collect focused nursing data
- Assist with IV therapy start peripheral lines monitor flow prime lines and change dressings
- Collect label and process lab samples per CLIA
- Coordinate patient care including referrals transition visits and follow up
- Document patient assessment and care in medical record
- Ensure patient confidentiality
- Fulfill medication refill requests per protocol
- Maintain OSHA compliant safe patient environment
- Manage medication and immunization documentation
- Obtain and relay chief complaint and symptoms to provider
- Perform infection control precautions
- Perform nursing procedures injections medication administration EKGs and phlebotomy
- Provide nursing care within scope of practice
- Review patient records lab and imaging prior to provider visit
- Room patients and prepare for examination
