3.22 Robotics Simulation Systems Engineer
Tasks
- Build ROS ROS 2 nodes messages and tooling
- Build and validate robot and vehicle dynamics models
- Connect simulation output to ML training pipelines
- Create configurable simulation scenarios and disturbances
- Create reproducible dev environments and enforce code health
- Design implement and maintain SIL HIL rigs
- Develop and test in Gazebo/Ignition and NVIDIA Isaac Sim
- Develop sensor actuator interfaces and bring up procedures
- Generate synthetic datasets with domain randomization and annotations
- Implement contact friction models and parameter identification
- Integrate simulators into CI CD for regression testing
- Manage datasets and distributed processing on AWS
- Own SIL HIL simulation infrastructure
- Parallelize simulation perception and policy evaluation on GPU
- Run Monte Carlo simulations and acceptance tests
- Visualize results and publish engineering dashboards
