Data Analyst 

 

JOB PURPOSE:

GBS Intelligent Automation CoE is the digital transformation engine for Bayer Global Business Services (GBS) organization. It focuses on the re-imagination and digitization of capabilities, processes, services, and reporting for the Enterprise through the design, development, and deployment of scalable digital products and solutions.  GBS Intelligent Automation CoE works with the different divisions, regions and markets, leveraging a core set of integrated technologies, such as AI, ML, RPA, Conversational AI.

As a member of Power BI Reporting and SQL Data Query Management team, which is dedicated in creating and maintaining interactive data visualizations and dashboards using Power BI, while expertly managing and optimizing SQL databases for efficient data extraction and analysis. Their purpose is to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making by ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This team plays a crucial role in transforming complex data into clear, actionable business intelligence.

 

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

End to end PowerBI solution deployment:

- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.

- Implement and maintain automated reporting solutions within Power BI to streamline data distribution and enhance reporting efficiency.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for Power BI reports, SQL queries, and database structures to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing.

- Take ownership of business requirements of functional and technical secifications to deliver effective solutions in terms of scalability and performance.

- Provide technical consultancy to business partners in driving clarity of business requirements, assess and evaluate the right fit integration solution and high-level design

 

SQL:

- Strong proficiency in SQL working on any of the Databases, including complex queries, data manipulation, and performance tuning.

- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

 

KEY WORKING RELATIONS:

Internal: OM’s Team Leaders, Across GBS, Location Heads

External: SDM, Digital Leads, IT, External IT/ Vendor

 

WHO YOU ARE:

- Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

- 3-6 years of hands on experience in PowerBI , SQL

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Familiarity with advanced Power BI features such as DAX and Power Query.

- Databricks and data modeling experience is good to have.
