What you’ll do:

The Amplify Data Analyst will provide analytical support for departments across the Amplify organization to address key business problems. This role will support projects, perform cross-functional business analysis, construct operational dashboards with KPIs, and utilize technology to streamline processes. This role will analyze data, develop, and maintain datasets and/or dashboards to monitor key performance indicators. Successful candidates for this role have strong analytical experience, are structured thinkers with strong data skills, can navigate ambiguity, and are always looking for strategic opportunities to improve business performance with data.

  • Provide data and analytical support for Carrier and Sales Center teams to address key business problems
  • Proactively engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate the requirements into business and technical requirements. If necessary, manage delivery of or delivering on solutions to those requirements.
  • Responsible for analyzing data and presenting actionable information and recommendations to help make informed business decisions.
  • Support the definition of metrics, data architecture, data pipelines and data to support Analysis and Reporting
  • Organize and track performance of multiple Carrier and Sales Center channels and provide visibility and insights to optimize outcomes.
  • Communicate analytic insights to senior management and business stakeholders, and present complex information simply, easily, and clearly
  • Responsible for end-to-end design and development of high visibility projects including data mining, data analysis, and visualization via BI applications (e.g., Tableau, Looker or Power BI)
  • Leverage problem solving skills and frameworks to develop solutions. Reconcile data conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, and take low-level information up to a more general understanding

Who you are:

  • You possess a minimum of an undergraduate degree in a quantitative field or relevant experience
  • You have at least 3 years of SQL experience with ability to manipulate data quickly and efficiently
  • Your experience includes at least 3 years supporting sales analytics, business, or operations teams in an analytical capacity (sales analytics strongly preferred)
  • You have hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling
  • You have knowledge of statistical techniques and concepts (regression, statistical tests and proper usage, sampling, etc.)
  • You possess advanced skills with BI tools and know how to prepare data and associated visualizations to maximize impact (Excel & Tableau strongly preferred)
  • You have solid Python skills with knowledge of programming principles

Preferred Qualifications:

  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of internal & external clients
  • You have a proven track record of defining and executing key analysis with minimal supervision
  • You have strong project management and communication skills 
  • You have basic knowledge of finance or accounting concepts
  • You have experience in the Insurance Carrier, ACA, Medicare, or Medicaid industry
  • You have an ability to leverage new or unfamiliar platforms to deliver business solutions

The base pay range reflects the anticipated pay range for this position. The actual base pay offered will depend on various factors including individual skills, experience, performance, qualifications, the department budget, and the location where work is performed. Base pay is one component of eHealth’s total rewards package, which also includes an annual performance bonus, plus an array of benefits designed to support employees’ personal and professional wellness.
