The Position:

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making through comprehensive financial planning, analysis, and reporting. In this role, you will develop dynamic, visually compelling financial dashboards and deliver actionable insights to support key business initiatives. Your primary responsibilities will include building and automating financial reports, performing deep-dive analysis into performance metrics, and providing strategic recommendations to improve financial outcomes.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as sales, operations, and executive leadership to design and deliver scalable reporting solutions that support business growth. In addition to utilizing Power BI for real-time data visualization, you will be expected to harness advanced tools such as Excel, DAX, and Power Query to manage complex datasets and generate accurate financial models.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Analysis & Reporting:
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making across various departments.
    • Create detailed financial models, forecasts, and variance analyses.
    • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards to track financial KPIs and business performance.
    • Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that provide insights into financial results, trends, and key metrics.
    • Support month-end and year-end closing processes by providing accurate financial data and reporting.
  • Data Management & Visualization:
    • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from multiple sources using Power BI and Excel.
    • Develop financial models and tools to provide analytical support and drive process improvement.
    • Automate financial reporting processes using Power BI to streamline data collection and presentation.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis & Decision Support:
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed to support business units with financial data and insights.
    • Provide financial insights that inform business decisions, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance profitability.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including accounting, operations, and senior leadership.
    • Present complex financial data in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Train and support team members in Power BI and financial reporting best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Economics, or related field AND 2+ years' experience in finance and analytics

OR equivalent experience

  • 5+ years' proven experience with Excel, Power BI, and SQL

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements:

This is a work-from-home position anywhere in the US supporting CT & ET times zones.

  • Requires use of general office equipment and personal computer equipment.

  • May be required to work irregular schedules including but not limited to as applicable: Nights, weekends, holidays, on-call, and/or overtime.
