Tasks
- Automate failover backups patching and provisioning
- Build automation frameworks for reliability operations
- Design and maintain HA DR architectures
- Diagnose execution plans locking and I O bottlenecks
- Implement SLI SLO monitoring and proactive alerting
- Improve MTTR SLA adherence system resilience
- Lead MySQL to PostgreSQL migrations
- Lead incident management and root cause analysis
- Manage databases on GCP or AWS
- Manage schema conversion data migration and compatibility validation
- Optimize cloud costs for databases rightsizing storage tuning and cleanup
- Own MySQL and PostgreSQL availability performance reliability
- Provide mentorship and technical escalation
- Support database security encryption compliance and access controls
- Tune application queries and optimize performance
