Position Overview

Qinetiq US is looking for a Business Transformation Analyst to support our client in Washington, DC.  For more than 95 years, the Veterans Affairs (VA) Research and Development Program has been improving the lives of Veterans and all Americans through health care discovery and innovation.

 

The mission of VA Research is fourfold:

+ To improve Veterans' health and well-being via basic, translational, clinical, health services, and rehabilitative research;+ To apply scientific knowledge to develop effective individualized care solutions for Veterans;+ To attract, train, and retain the highest-caliber investigators, and nurture their development as leaders in their fields; and+ To assure a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability, and the highest regard for research volunteers' safety and privacy.

 

VA Research & Development is unique because of its focus on health issues that affect Veterans. It is part of an integrated health care system with a state-of-the-art electronic health record and has come to be viewed as a model for superior bench-to-bedside research.

 

We are looking for great people to join the QinetiQ Team in support of business transition, business process improvement, change and configuration management, and transformation optimization in support of the Research Enterprise Transformation Support Services contract.

Responsibilities

  • Frame problems in a manner that identifies the root cause. We are looking for individuals who can dig beyond initial symptoms and pinpoint core challenges before developing solutions.
  • Analyze data quickly and efficiently. We are a data-driven organization; we support our hypotheses with accurate analysis. The ability to quickly identify required data, gather it, and analyze it in an efficient manner is critical to success.
  • Communicate in a professional and persuasive manner. We expect all members of the team to be able to understand their work and present it to outside parties in a clear and coherent manner.
  • Deliver results.
  • Help on the Program Change Management workstream, and have the following experience:
  • Assist ORD categorize, document, and optimize some of their processes. As such any experience with process improvement would be helpful
  • Assist with the Enterprise Optimization Plan and shape their yearly strategy summit (and potentially other units going forward)
  • Be responsible for consolidating our weekly and monthly reports from across the broader ORD team
  • Other tasks (e.g. onboarding incoming L2s) that the individual be asked to support and should have the general consulting skill set 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong data analysis and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency with Excel and Power Point
  • Ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust;  Must pass a Standard Background Investigation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework, internships or experience supporting projects related to Human Centered Design, Supply Chain, Innovation, Org Design, Policy, Government, or Healthcare
  • Power BI, Tableau, Python
  • Sense of curiosity and ability to drive work independently
