Job Description: 
Dominion Financial Services (DFS) is a mortgage originator for single family real estate. DFS originates two main loan products – a short term bridge loan for fix & flip investors, and a long-term rental loan for landlords growing their rental portfolios. DFS is thriving in the current competitive environment and shows aggressive quarterly growth. Our current origination volume is $70MM per month. DFS is looking for a detail-oriented research analyst to join our growing team. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AI Research Analyst to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and performance of our AI models through testing GPTs within OpenAI, correcting document behaviors in Azure, and integrating custom training within Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Note Buyer guidelines and Dominion document requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy in model outcomes. Additionally, the candidate must stay up to date with emerging AI trends and new features, adapting as technology evolves and changes.

In This Role You Will:

• Model Testing and Evaluation: Test and assess AI models, evaluating performance, accuracy, and alignment with company objectives. Ensure all models operate efficiently and meet business standards.
• Behavior Training and Correction: Monitor and fine-tune AI model behaviors, addressing deviations and implementing corrections to improve outcomes.
• Data Management and Analysis: Upload and analyze previously and recently closed loan files to identify and resolve issues, enhancing model performance and accuracy.
• Note Buyer Guidelines Compliance: Quickly retain and understand Note Buyer guidelines to ensure model outcomes align with compliance requirements. Update models as guidelines evolve.
• Technical Development: Leverage technical, engineering, or machine learning skills to enhance testing methodologies, automate processes, and optimize model integration workflows.
• Proficiency with Tech Stacks: Work within the company’s development stack to manage documentation, reporting, automation, and integrations efficiently.
• Salesforce Expertise: Utilize Salesforce for data management, workflow creation, and system integrations to support seamless operations and improve efficiency.
• Reporting and Documentation: Track and document all changes to the models, including positive and negative outcomes, to ensure consistent performance improvements.
• Collaborative Integration: Work with internal teams to implement corrections and enhancements into integrated systems, ensuring seamless operation across platforms.
• Attention to Detail: Maintain meticulous documentation and analysis of all changes to ensure no detail is overlooked in model testing and updates.
• Stay Current with Industry Trends: Keep abreast of advancements in AI, machine learning, and development tools, applying new knowledge to continuously improve model performance.

Requirements:

• Experience in the mortgage or financial industry, preferably in underwriting or loan processing, with exposure to detailed guidelines and procedures (preferred).
• Ability to quickly retain and understand Note Buyer guidelines and apply them effectively in model testing and correction.
• Strong technical skills, with a background in engineering, machine learning, or related disciplines (preferred).
• Familiarity with development stacks and the ability to adapt to new tools and platforms.
• Preferred experience and knowledge in Salesforce or other CRM's, including workflow automation and system integrations.
• Proficiency in coding (e.g., Python, SQL) or scripting and data analysis tools or platforms.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with the capacity to address complex challenges and implement practical solutions.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Comfort with evolving technology and processes, with a flexible and adaptive approach to new tools and methods.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standard.
