Description

NEFCO is hiring a detail-oriented, entry level Data Analyst with strong Python programming skills to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will combine data analysis expertise with Python development capabilities to collect, validate, and process product data from multiple sources into our Content Delivery Network (CDN) and Product Information Management System (PIM). This role will focus on developing automated solutions for data management while providing crucial analytical insights for our e-commerce platform and business operations.

Job Duties:

  • Process & normalize complex product data sets using Python
  • Develop and maintain Python scripts for data cleaning, transformation, and automation
  • Work with our PIM software to manage product data and ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Create and maintain data pipelines to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Design and implement data validation procedures and quality control measures
  • Collaborate with the e-commerce team to optimize product search and categorization
  • Create and maintain documentation for data processes and analysis methods
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through data analysis and automation
  • Support cross-functional teams with data-driven insights and recommendations

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in Python programming with focus on data analysis libraries (ie Pandas, Numpy)
  • Knowledge of SQL for data extraction and analysis
  • Proficient in Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical information to non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and related libraries (NLTK, spaCy)
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts (Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Tensorflow) and as well automation (libraries like Selenium and Beautiful Soup) 
  • Familiarity with chatGPT and fine tuning models
  • Understanding of data governance and compliance requirements
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills
