POSITION SUMMARY: 

We are seeking an experienced Data Product Led to join the Data Governance team within the DataWISE program. The role will be a key driver in operationalizing the data governance practices, processes and data literacy efforts. The role will establish end-to-end lifecycle of data products that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role will lead cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver data product roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs. Experience working with advertising agency processes such as Financial, Operations, HR, Media, Financial planning is highly desirable. Experience in implementing master data management programs is a must have.

The role sits in the Data Governance team within the DataWISE program and acts as a coordinating function between the EDH Management team, the Data Consumers and the relevant stakeholders to ensure data is being successfully delivered and consistently adopted as products throughout the organization.

Its primary objective is to ensure that data is create, maintained, managed and published out of the Enterprise Datahub is operationalized consistently by delivering data as products that address common use cases and business requirements.

The Data Product lead will be involved in the full lifecycle of how data is managed and used within the organization and will be responsible to deliver the appropriate data products to support the different business requirements and use cases driving the organization’s operations.

The Data Product lead will work closely with the EDH Platform Leads (Platform Arch/Ops, Data Management, Governance), Applications Owners, and Data Owners in the data products definition and facilitate any interaction with impacted stakeholders, whether Data Consumers or Business Partners (CISO, Legal, Compliance/IA).

The Data Product lead takes the lead in defining goals for data that align with the broader organizational vision. This includes building both short- and long-term strategies, such as defining key metrics to track success or determining the prioritization of features that fall within their scope.

The role is also responsible for translating the requirements of large data initiatives into smaller, actionable pieces that can be delivered in increments and then working to allocate resources for each initiative.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 

  1. Understands and documents business needs and requirements with our various Stakeholders.
  2. Drive the development of data policies, data standards and data operational guidelines that direct the development, implementation and use of data assets, data products and metrics.
  3. Participates, document and lead business process flow analysis and business process redesign.
  4. Assists in the development, testing and implementation of data assets and metrics by proposing and documenting gold and semantic objects.
  5. Leads and coordinates the User Acceptance Testing efforts.
  6. Own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from ideation to launch and iteration
  7. Define Key Metrics to track user adoption and prioritize data assets accordingly.
  8. Champion data literacy within the organization and drive adoption rates.
  9. Conduct user interviews and various testing of data products
  10. Map out data personas and consumer profiles to the appropriate metrics and data assets
  11. Perform A/B testing related to metrics and data assets to ensure optimum usage
  12. Set OKRs and KPIs
  13. Make objective arguments to influence stakeholders
  14. Track data assets usage to identify opportunities for improvement.
  15. Establish Data quality metrics and quality governance processes.
  16. Establish and promote a Data literacy program including training design, documentation and managed/lead delivery efforts
  17. Establish a common understanding of what "data literacy" means within the specific context of the organization and its different roles.
  18. Assess current state of data literacy, identifying skill gaps, and benchmarking against industry standards.
  19. Create a structured approach to data literacy, outlining different competency levels and learning paths for various roles.
  20. Curate and create Learning Resources: Identify/develop training materials, workshops, online courses, and resources that cater to different learning styles and skill levels.
  21. Promote Data Literacy. Promote awareness about the importance of data literacy, communicating the benefits
  22. Establish and keep up to date the data services/product strategy and roadmap (e.g. define the vision, principles, and opportunities based on market trends and business needs)
  23. Establish product development and lifecycle management including maintenance cycles, versioning, releases, enhancements, and sunsetting outdated data/functionalities.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Detail and quality-oriented individual with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new technical concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while setting proper user expectations and priorities.
  • Organized, process driven, and enjoys the challenge of documentation.
  • Demonstrated technical skills, knowledge and experience helping others to deliver products utilizing programming/systems environments and concepts.
  • Experience with issue escalation, resolution and monitoring as well as communicating projects risks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in data governance and data quality management.
  • Strong understanding of data management concepts and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of and experience in SDLC methodologies
  • Functional understanding of areas like finance, HR, Resource Management, New Business pipeline management. This will allow individual to better understands the terms and data within IPG systems landscape
  • Experience with writing business requirements.
  • Experience with task prioritization and delegation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with .NET programming and CSS design.
  • Experience with SQL (knowledge of MS SQL Server, .NET, CSS is preferred).
  • Data modeling capabilities. Identified relationships within datasets. Able to work with datasets and identify patterns.
  • 10+ years managing large/complex enterprise global systems implementations.

SALARY RANGE or NYC SALARY RANGE:

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $150,000. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.
