- Control data and platform costs
- Define and implement data observability
- Design data warehouse architecture
- Ensure data governance for quality integrity and security
- Expose clean datasets and dashboards
- Implement batch and streaming pipelines
- Ingest data from production services
- Lead Data platform architecture
- Lead hire mentor and grow data engineering team
- Manage data lineage and schema evolution
- Model entities relationships and domain objects
- Own end-to-end data lifecycle
- Partner with researchers engineers analysts finance and product managers
- Run data quality checks and freshness monitoring
- Set engineering standards for code quality testing documentation and on call
