Robotics Software Engineer
Tasks
- Build behavioral systems with state machines behavior trees task planners
- Build simulation environments for development and testing
- Conduct field tests and perform data collection and analysis
- Create technical documentation architecture diagrams runbooks operational procedures
- Design robotics software in C plus plus and Python
- Develop motion planning control and trajectory generation algorithms
- Evaluate robotics technologies and recommend adoption pilot or defer
- Implement perception localization mapping with SLAM and sensor fusion
- Implement safety critical patterns watchdogs fault detection safe stops
- Integrate ROS or ROS 2 with custom hardware and embedded systems
- Integrate sensor data pipelines for cameras LiDAR IMU proprioceptive sensors
- Mentor engineers through code review design review pair programming
