Tasks
- Communicate design proposals to technical management and executive teams
- Conduct simulation and analysis for architecture trade offs
- Define system level and subsystem requirements across hardware and physics
- Design validation tests with experimental teams to improve model fidelity
- Develop multiphysics models for cryogenic behavior and magnetic field systems
- Develop numerical tools for electrical performance of RF ion traps
- Develop producible scalable quantum computers using simulations
- Generate and present design trade studies
- Identify technology insertions into system architecture with subsystem teams
- Lead scalable simulation framework development for high performance computing
- Mentor engineers and scientists in modeling and simulation best practices
- Model and analyze magnetic environments in vacuum systems
