Senior BI Analyst
Tasks
- Apply joins calculated fields parameters and filters
- Build BI dashboards in Tableau and Amazon QuickSight
- Collaborate with data engineers on analytics ready data sources
- Design dashboards with visual hierarchy and accessible typography
- Distill insights into narratives and recommendations
- Document dashboard purpose data ownership and limitations
- Maintain published BI asset portfolio
- Manage dashboard refresh schedules
- Monitor dashboard usage and gather user feedback
- Optimize dashboard performance with extract and live connections
- Partner with stakeholders to understand decision needs
- Propose report consolidation refresh cadence and platform migration
- Retire or rework underperforming dashboards
- Translate business questions into BI datasets and data sources
- Validate dashboard metrics against source systems
- Write SQL for analysis prototyping and data validation
