Electrical Safety Engineer (AI Supercomputer)
Tasks
- Assess electrical hazards for energy storage and cooling failures
- Conduct arc flash hazard analysis and incident energy studies
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors on electrical safety requirements
- Define PPE categories and approach boundaries
- Develop shock and arc flash protection controls
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 NFPA 70E and OSHA standards
- Ensure grounding bonding and equipotential bonding
- Establish emergency response procedures for electrical events
- Integrate electrical safety into one line diagrams and protective coordination
- Investigate electrical incidents near misses and arc flash events
- Maintain lockout tagout procedures
- Manage energized electrical work permits
- Monitor power quality and telemetry
- Own electrical safety program under NFPA 70E
- Perform risk assessments using FMEA
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Qualify train and audit electrical workers
- Review and approve energized work and switching procedures
- Validate ATS generator and UPS failover procedures
