• Benchmark processors and RTOS options via prototyping
• Collaborate in target computing platform bring up
• Develop and verify Platform Abstraction Layer components
• Drive embedded software standardization strategy
• Establish base development environments for RTOS partitioning
• Evolve PAL capabilities and services
• Integrate third party platform software including drivers and middleware
• Interface with certification authorities to demonstrate compliance
• Lead Software Requirements Specification for PAL
• Perform Verification and Validation activities for PAL
• Perform trade off analyses and technology assessments
• Provide common API for embedded platform support software
• Support hardware software integration projects
• Support platform software and PAL certification process
