Research Assistant (Quantum Materials Physics)
Tasks
- Accelerate molecular beam epitaxy development with in situ characterization and machine learning
- Build optics microwave and quantum sensing experimental capabilities
- Characterize magnetization and transport properties
- Characterize resistivity Hall response and non linear transport
- Develop theoretical models of topological materials
- Integrate epitaxial synthesis with two dimensional materials and devices
- Perform ab initio calculations and support with experimental techniques
- Perform angle resolved photoemission spectroscopy with synchrotrons
- Synthesize atomically precise thin films using molecular beam epitaxy
- Use nanofabrication facilities and collaborate with research groups
