Tasks
- Build reusable scripts and tooling for operational efficiency
- Create and maintain engineering runbooks SOPs and platform documentation
- Design and implement standardized DBA patterns for build configuration patching and upgrades
- Develop automation with PowerShell T-SQL and Ansible
- Enforce SQL Server security standards roles permissions and least privilege
- Engineer administer and support Microsoft SQL Server databases in production and non production environments
- Engineer and support high availability and disaster recovery with Always On Availability Groups
- Ensure platform reliability, availability, and performance
- Implement encryption in transit and at rest with TLS TDE and certificates
- Lead database provisioning refreshes migrations and lifecycle management
- Monitor SQL Server health capacity and performance
- Perform query tuning index strategy optimization and tempdb configuration
- Perform vulnerability remediation audits and regulatory compliance support
- Provide L3 support with root cause analysis ownership
